Part of a series of oil pastel bouquets, Gathered Garden features mid-century tones of burnt orange, navy blue and pastel yellows. Oil pastel as a medium gives a rich, buttery texture which I adore in an artwork. This drawing is contrasty while still being soft and is overall a delight to look at due to the colour harmony and linen board peeking through.
