Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Part one of a diptych, but available separately, this was my response to the Biblio Art Prize based on a book Repentance, by Alison Gibbs, detailing the 1970s Forest Wars in northern Australia. The hum and swell of the natural world resonated strongly and was the focus of my work. Lovely alone but perhaps even stronger with its partner shown in the photos here.

This work will be on display at Bluethumb's Melbourne Gallery for the exhibition 'Rising Realism' from April 12th.
