Enchanted by simple water droplets on two glasses and bottle left on a table at a Warrnambool foreshore cafe, I began taking snaps from every angle. The image seemed to represent almost a scent, a feeling, that nostalgic memory we all have of summers at the beach. It was a taste of summer we can hang onto all year.

Artist Bio
My ambition is to capture beauty in the everyday. Many paintings share a strong connection to the environment and our place within it.
At the heart of everything is the search for light that transforms the ordinary into something else.
I moved to Warrnambool, on Victoria’s south west, after almost three decades as a newspaper journalist.
In 2020, I completed a Visual Arts Cert IV course at South West TAFE.
I primarily paint with oils in my home studio in a figurative and realism style; influenced by artists whose art features a strong storytelling element such as American, Edward Hopper.
In 2025 I held my first solo exhibition in Warrnambool called The Extraordinary Ordinary, celebrating how every day scenes can be incredibly beautiful, when viewed in a certain light.
My work has been selected in various well known Australian art prizes, including the Kennedy Prize, John Villiers Outback Art Prize and ANL Maritime Art Award and Exhibition.
