Artwork Description

I love the symmetry and pop-art feel of industry. This work was part of a body called 'The Industry of Us'. Referenced in the once industrial centre of Newcastle NSW but seen in snippets all around Australia, I find these scenes somewhat nostalgic as they disappear through gentrification.

Artist Bio

With 2 artworks purchased for the Australian Embassy in Kabul, Bloomfield is one of a select group of Australian artists chosen to represent Australian Art in International Embassies. Bloomfield, Associate Member of the Royal Art Society of NSW (ARAS) and a Fellow with the Australian Society of Marine Artists (FASMA), is regularly exhibited in some of Australia’s most prestigious art awards. Bloomfield has created a brand for herself through two distinctive mediums: Industrial oil paintings; and Australian Wildlife in charcoal & ink. Bloomfield’s recent works have melded the styles to create the very exciting ‘Reductionist Pop’ genre. Bloomfield’s work graces collections throughout Australia as well as Amsterdam, U.K., Ireland, Hong Kong, China & Afghanistan.
