I love all native Australian animals and the flying fox is an exceptional animal that makes me think of a small flying bear.

Growing up I was used to seeing them grace the evening skies in their thousands as they returned to their favorite trees in the Royal Botanic Gardens until they were moved on.

Fixed securely with AS semi-gloss charcoal fixative & framed in a matching 1cm wide shadow-box frame.

With 2 artworks purchased for the Australian Embassy in Kabul, Bloomfield is one of a select group of Australian artists chosen to represent Australian Art in International Embassies. Bloomfield, Associate Member of the Royal Art Society of NSW (ARAS) and a Fellow with the Australian Society of Marine Artists (FASMA), is regularly exhibited in some of Australia’s most prestigious art awards. Bloomfield has created a brand for herself through two distinctive mediums: Industrial oil paintings; and Australian Wildlife in charcoal & ink. Bloomfield’s recent works have melded the styles to create the very exciting ‘Reductionist Pop’ genre. Bloomfield’s work graces collections throughout Australia as well as Amsterdam, U.K., Ireland, Hong Kong, China & Afghanistan.
