This piece relates to my interest in maps, aerial photographs and different ways of viewing landscape. Working on panel allows me to put down many layers and work into them to conceal and reveal the history of the piece

Award winning artist Karen runs a busy arts practice from her hand-sculpted cob studio/gallery at Yankalilla South Australia where she alternates between portraiture, abstract painting and fibre arts. A passion for colour and for experimenting with materials and techniques informs her practice. Her work features in private collections in both Australia and Europe.
