I grew up in a coastal country town and across the road from the yacht club. I have vivid memories of regatta days which felt full of light, colour and movement. This work seeks to capture that feeling.
Award winning artist Karen runs a busy arts practice from her hand-sculpted cob studio/gallery at Yankalilla South Australia where she alternates between portraiture, abstract painting and fibre arts. A passion for colour and for experimenting with materials and techniques informs her practice. Her work features in private collections in both Australia and Europe.
