My current work is inspired by the colours of the 1950's, especially as seen in print advertising from that era. The piece is thus a contemporary abstract which draws inspiration from the past.

Award winning artist Karen runs a busy arts practice from her hand-sculpted cob studio/gallery at Yankalilla South Australia where she alternates between portraiture, abstract painting and fibre arts. A passion for colour and for experimenting with materials and techniques informs her practice. Her work features in private collections in both Australia and Europe.
