Good Enough, original acrylic abstract painting

In this artwork I explore the feeling of being good enough. Feeling good enough to fit in, good enough to be successful or good enough to have friends.
We all feel insecure at times and don't feel good enough.
I have inscribed the words (good enough) into this artwork in between many layers, most is covered over with a new layer, but you can see small areas peeping through.
I work intuitively so the end result can be surprising and quite different to the first layers of the painting.

This artwork is painted on stretched canvas, ready to hang, with hanging wire on the back. I have coated it with 2 layers of good quality varnish to protect its surface.
Its initialled on the front and signed on the back.
A certificate of authenticity will be included.

Each of my mixed media works are built up of many layers. Sometimes the layers will completely disappear, sometimes you can see little traces left behind. I keep adding layer upon layer until I reach a point where I feel that the artwork is finished.

 I usually work intuitively with acrylic paint but I can include a variety of mixed media in my work, including pencil, oil pastel, dry pastel, collage, paint markers and china markers to create each unique piece.

I have been creating art for more than 40 years, mainly as a hobby, but now at this time in my life I am making art my full-time passion. Art is my reason to live, my everything, it feeds my soul and makes me happy.  I hope that these feelings and emotions are passed on to you, as a viewer/owner of my work.

I love nothing more than hearing from the new owner of one of my works, that it has impacted their life in a positive way, that they love to have my work in their private home, office or workplace. It makes my day and fuels my passion to create more art.

My work is held in private collections in Australia and also overseas.
