Abstract landscape with Impasto texture

Signed on back

Inspired by the beautiful Blue Mountains. A landscape with Eucalyptus and using the Aboriginal art symbol for flower to represent the native flowers.

Exploring the connection between landscape and memory and more specifically the remnants and traces left in environments either in a physical form or as emotion.

Aboriginal peoples have walked this country for thousands of years, leaving tracks which are both tangible and spiritual.
I challenge the idea of ' Past' as something no longer existing. I believe it remains,in our memory and the land.In what we see and what we cannot.
