Inspired by Aboriginal woven crafts this artwork is the 1st in an ongoing series .'Dilly bags' are used in Aboriginal culture as carrying vessels for food and are sometimes coated with beeswax which then allows the bags to be used for carrying water. there are many different styles of Dilly Bags but each one is unique hand woven from a variety of natural found grasses and leaves.Woven crafts were not only used for practical carrying vessels but also for decorating ceremonial items. Through this ongoing series these beautiful crafts will feature on their own or with other subjects in abstract still lifes,
