This colourful lady was created from my imagination. Ever since I was a child I loved stories about princesses and mermaids. I still enjoy creating fantasy ladies, but now I apply my knowledge of design and watercolour technique. For instance I mix and mingle my colours on the wet paper, rather than on the palette. Another favourite techniques is to drop salt into the wet paint, which creates a beautiful effect. Watercolour paints are at once exciting , and challenging. I have developed my own way of painting with watercolour which is creative and fun. This painting is available unframed, because I believe choosing a frame is a very personal thing. Also, it is safer to ship a painting without glass, since glass can break and ruin a painting.
