Artwork Description

I am always experimenting with new art materials and often I need to play in order to get inspired. I try to get into that same mindset that I had as a child, when I painted because it was fun, and that was my favourite thing to do. I’m inspired by artists who interpret the world in a unique way. Picasso and Paul Klee, and surrealist painters inspired me and in a way, allowed me the freedom to paint from my imagination, and dreams. I love naive and primitive art, and one of my favourite artists is the late Laurel Burch. I have studied the great masters, and was inspired by the work of Klimt, when I created this painting. This painting is mainly watercolour with some other media, on professional archival watercolour paper. It is signed on the front and back. It comes with a white mat border and foam core backing board, ready for the framer to add a frame of your choice and glass.
