‘Golden Lane’ by Karina Bonouvrie. This piece is an intuitive abstract artwork. I loved exploring with the fun and lightness of the yellows, while the purples invoked my intuitive imagination. I enjoy the experimentation of shape and texture and adding “layer upon layer”.
The painting wraps around the sides of the canvas as a continuation of the front.

Both the canvas and paints are of archival quality, the varnish contains a UV stabiliser and will not yellow or fade with age.

Artist Bio

My name is Karina Bonouvrie and I am an Australian abstract artist based on the Central Coast of New South Wales. After a long career as a flight attendant, I made the ultimate decision to hang up my wings and realise a lifelong dream by turning my passion into a career.
I have been creative ever since I can remember. Art and painting is nourishing food for my soul and fills me with joy.
I am a largely self-taught intuitive abstract painter, though I have workshopped constantly throughout my artist career. I work with oil and acrylic mediums, embedding expressive marks using charcoal, pencils and pastels on a range of canvas sizes.
I am constantly drawing inspiration from my environment – from the landscape, the people I meet and everyday encounters. Beauty and artistic value surrounds me.
My paintings are never a foregone conclusion. Instead, my intention is to infuse love and joy into every canvas, bringing each one its own, unique energy. It is my connection with this energy that allows the development process. My art is an ever-evolving experimentation that draws on the dance between expressed emotion, colour, shape and layering. Each piece continues my journey of self-discovery without limitation.
It is my wish that the viewer and ultimately the collector is able to absorb the energy to experience their own, special connection with my work.
And so the journey continues…
