Sakura’s embrace

In the ancient forests of Japan, there lived a goddess named Miyu, whose gentle spirit was revered by all who knew her. Miyu's closest companion was a magnificent tiger named Kaito, who possessed a wisdom that rivaled even her own. Together, they roamed the verdant landscapes, protecting the balance of nature and bringing peace to those in need. One fateful night, under the light of the full moon, Kaito revealed his true form to Miyu—a handsome young man with eyes that sparkled like stars. Kat is a self taught mixed media artist who resides in Currumbin Valley, Australia. She works with all types of media, with her favourites being acrylic and collage. Throwing in some unusual material into her work to add texture and layers and mood to express emotions and depth. Her work is spawns from her passion within to constantly create and the therapy it provides for her in her busy life with 4 young kids. Kat is influenced by her children and her life experiences, bringing to life a lot of raw emotions on paper. Most of her work is based around beautiful and strong women with influences in the lowbrow/pop surreal as well as the fantasy genres. She finds Persian miniatures very fascinating a lot of her work has been inspired by the ancient miniature paintings originating from India, Egypt and Persia.
