Artwork Description

This artwork explores the concept of a landscape within a landscape. The cattle embody an aerial view of a farming landscape. Some of their bodies roll like hills and extend to the sky while others are raked like freshly ploughed paddocks waiting for the rain looming in the clouds above.
The graphite medium highlights the monochromatic vastness of farmland without rain.

This work is currently being framed in a black frame with Perspex. Further images will be uploaded once received back from framing.

Artist Bio

I am an Adelaide-based emerging contemporary artist, working across both hyperrealism and contemporary abstract styles. My practice explores the spectrum between precision and freedom drawing on my early foundation in detailed realism, while now embracing bold colour, layered texture, and expressive abstraction.

From a young age I was immersed in the visual arts, receiving recognition through youth council prizes, competitions, and subject awards during my studies. After stepping away from art when my career path turned towards structure and order in 2015, I have since reconnected with my creative voice, rediscovering the joy of colour, movement, and self-expression.

Since reigniting my love of art, I have been a semifinalist in the 2020 Tony White Memorial Art Prize. My contemporary abstract works are vibrant, intuitive, and filled with energy, celebrating colour as both emotion and memory.

I am available for commissions and welcome any enquiries about works you may have in mind.
