Artwork Description

I wanted to capture and contrast the unpredictability of how ink behaves I water compared to the control achieved by pencil and ink on paper.

I created this piece to dropping ink into water, photographing and drawing the movement captured from the way the ink moved.

Artist Bio

I am an Adelaide-based emerging contemporary artist, working across both hyperrealism and contemporary abstract styles. My practice explores the spectrum between precision and freedom drawing on my early foundation in detailed realism, while now embracing bold colour, layered texture, and expressive abstraction.

From a young age I was immersed in the visual arts, receiving recognition through youth council prizes, competitions, and subject awards during my studies. After stepping away from art when my career path turned towards structure and order in 2015, I have since reconnected with my creative voice, rediscovering the joy of colour, movement, and self-expression.

Since reigniting my love of art, I have been a semifinalist in the 2020 Tony White Memorial Art Prize. My contemporary abstract works are vibrant, intuitive, and filled with energy, celebrating colour as both emotion and memory.

I am available for commissions and welcome any enquiries about works you may have in mind.
