Artwork Description

A lazy Sunday breakfast setting with all my favourite summer berries, a bowl of yogurt and a latte in the iconic Country Road mug. You can be sure that after the still life was photographed, it was eaten soon after!

This artwork offers a contrast of dimensions with the Fruit painted realistically and using structured paint to create dimension in the yogurt. The minimalistic background of the table cloth and plates with basic shadowing techniques make the fruit “pop” from the canvas.

A perfect piece for a kitchen or dining room.

Having moved house and now having an art studio/ room has given me a chance to return to painting and experimenting with realism in larger scale works.

This work will be ready to hang and a wire with D rings will be added upon purchase. If the collector would like to have the work framed, D rings and wire will be added after framing.

Artist Bio

I am an Adelaide-based emerging contemporary artist, working across both hyperrealism and contemporary abstract styles. My practice explores the spectrum between precision and freedom drawing on my early foundation in detailed realism, while now embracing bold colour, layered texture, and expressive abstraction.

From a young age I was immersed in the visual arts, receiving recognition through youth council prizes, competitions, and subject awards during my studies. After stepping away from art when my career path turned towards structure and order in 2015, I have since reconnected with my creative voice, rediscovering the joy of colour, movement, and self-expression.

Since reigniting my love of art, I have been a semifinalist in the 2020 Tony White Memorial Art Prize. My contemporary abstract works are vibrant, intuitive, and filled with energy, celebrating colour as both emotion and memory.

I am available for commissions and welcome any enquiries about works you may have in mind.
