One of a series of works responding to the bush fires earlier this year at Lake Conjola, this painting shows the early signs of recovery on the shores of the lake. There’s something still very beautiful despite the blackened limbs and fallen trees. New life is beginning in the form of small clumps of new foliage bursting forth even from the most dead looking canopies.
