I love strong bright colours, in particular cadmium red and often start landscapes on a strongly coloured ground. Using both transparent and opaque layers I try and capture the play of light in the landscape and the atmosphere of the place.
This painting is on smooth board and needs to be mounted or framed to be ready to hang. It would look lovely with a white or Tasmanian oak floating frame.
