Artwork Description

Pencil drawing of a Tower Bridge London. I lived in London for 3 years while at University and used to head down to Southbank to people watch Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
This has been made using drawing pencils on an A4 grey sheet of 250gm paper. It hasn't been fully coloured to the edges so it can be framed under a matt board. It is textured in areas from the oil pastels.

Artist Bio

Creating her whole life and armed with a degree in Costume Design from Wimbledon School of Art, London, Kate starting to focus on painting more during the great lockdown 2020. Finding herself home alone, painting allowed an expressive and creative outlet that helped fill the void of isolation from the world. She quickly discovered a passion for painting, and specifically figurative and portraiture works, focusing on bright bold colour use and strong brush work. Her works take inspiration from the Pop Art, WPAP & Impressionistic movements, experimenting with conveying identity, character, emotion and thoughts.
