Artwork Description

'Through the trees wherever the path may lead 2' is an original acrylic painting by Kate Wise. Measuring 63x79cm, including the natural pine floating frame, this painting is ready to hang. This work is part of my 'Through the trees' series. Hang this on your wall and you can feel the grasses swayinging, see the moon rising and let your eyes wander through the trees, as often as needed. If you are looking for a pair to create a bigger impact, there is a partner for this piece called ' Through the trees wherever the path leads 1'.

Artist Bio

Kate Wise's acrylic paintings are a celebration of the beauty she finds in nature. Kate plays with scale and negative space and creates sumptuous colour palettes to produce harmonious yet lively compositions. If you need more of these things in your life, welcome, you are in the right place!

Kate is an acrylic painter living on Wadawurrung country just outside Ballarat, Victoria. She says 'nature is an inspiring force' and it drives her creation of calm, feminine and flowing paintings that are original, fresh and lively.

You can enjoy Kate's work as vibrant landscapes, abstracts and florals, but in her current series of works, she is inviting you to delve a little deeper, as she explores the psychological terrain of landscape painting. Kate believes that the capacity to observe the complexities of nature, draw meaning and experience self-growth and renewal, are gifts that painting offers both the artist and the viewer.

Kate has been a full-time artist for 5 years, regularly joins group exhibitions, has won several local art prizes and enjoys participating in local community and public art projects. Kate's work is held in private collections across Australia and overseas.
