Artwork Description

Yet another painting joins the exhibit of pieces that do not confine to the square norms of canvases.

Koi are seen as a symbol of good fortune, friendship and love and the word ‘koi’ comes from Japanese meaning ‘carp’. 9 Koi Fish represents unity, prosperity and longevity.

I depicted Koi using big, free strokes, in juxtaposition to the background; making them stand out, proud. The colour palette harmonises together, bringing joy to anyone who looks. The composition with the round canvas - that symbolises the everlasting freedom we as humans can enjoy - can flawlessly decorate any interior, and make a room shine.
