This painting was painted spontaneously and rapidly on a scarlet red background. Brushstrokes are predominately in the one direction and a limited colour palette was used.

Loosely based on a photo taken at Spirit Island, Maligne Lake, Jasper National Park, Canada. Although it was Summer, we waited for the fog to lift before venturing out on a boat cruise on this lake. Much to our delight the fog lifted, the water was glass calm and clumps of snow remained on the mountains.

Signed on the back enables the painting to be hung according to the collectors preference.
