View from my Window

An abstract work with geometric forms added in the shape of a curved wall of windows. Inspired by looking out into my garden on beautiful Autumn days. This painting contains the complementary colours of green and red combined with a fairly neutral light blue and other neutral tones. The piece was created both inside my studio and outside in the garden depending on the weather and time of day.

"I see the world and I paint it" Kathy Best

Kathy creates bold, expressive acrylic abstracts and contemporary paintings based on observation of the world around her. She sometimes paints loosely from reference photos or memory. Other times she lets the paint and marks on the canvas guide her. Kathy’s works explore colour relationships, movement, shapes and layers.

Kathy has been painting consistently since 2008 under the guidance of many tutors. She is continuously learning and thinking of new ideas.
