Painted en plein air with a breeze moving the clouds to reveal the blue sky beyond. The painting is a study of the Casuarina Glauca trees seen from my studio. The idea was to paint what I found captivating in the scene and then leave it alone...the sunlight along the length of the branches, lighting the canopy in patches and the clearing clouds revealing lovely shapes of blue.
I enjoyed painting this one and beginning to feel very comfortable with this perspective of viewing the treetops.
