Artwork Description

This captivating photograph captures an ethereal underwater scene featuring my model in a flowing gold dress, enveloped in vibrant movement and light. The colourful fabric drifts gracefully, enhancing the sense of motion amidst the tranquil, deep blue water. Sunlight filters down, illuminating the environment with stunning reflections and textures, creating a mesmerising interplay of colour and serenity. Ideal for curators and art collectors seeking unique and immersive aquatic artwork. The colourful pastel palette evokes both fragility and strength, holding the subject in a moment between above and below. The work recalls the dreamlike intimacy of Francesca Woodman and the underwater surrealism of Toni Frissell, situating my work within a lineage of photographers who transform the body into something both vulnerable and transcendent.

Taken during an underwater photo shoot at Bitter Springs, Mataranka, Northern Territory in September, 2024.
