Artwork Description

In creating this piece, I merged the digital with the tactile richness of editing techniques, crafting an underwater ballet that exudes serenity and wonder. The delicate interplay of light and colour captures a moment of profound grace, encouraging the viewer to relish in the tranquillity and ethereal beauty. This visual poem is a reminder of peaceful introspection and the fluid dance of life, adding an essence of dreamy calm to any space. Inspired by the turning of the model's gaze to look to another time. Named after a line in William Shakespeare's "Sonnet 17" where he speaks of the difficulty poetry has in truly capturing youth's beauty.

Taken during an underwater photo shoot at Bitter Springs, Mataranka, Northern Territory.
