Artwork Description

In capturing this piece, I immersed myself in the fluidity of the water's embrace. The vibrant interplay of colours and light captures a serene yet dynamic expression of freedom and tranquillity. I evoke a sense of ethereal grace, as if for a moment, suspending reality. Bringing this artwork into your space means inviting a wave of calm and a splash of enchanting mystery that will gently ripple through your surroundings. Inspired by the abstract reflections of the gentle folds of the material in the white dress under the water's surface. Named after a line in William Shakespeare's "Sonnet 17" where he speaks of the difficulty poetry has in truly capturing youth's beauty.

Taken during an underwater photo shoot at Bitter Springs, Mataranka, Northern Territory.
