Artwork Description

I captures this scene on a quiet early morning in Chanthaburi, Thailand. The vintage bicycle which rests outside a rustic wooden shop just caught my eye, with its soft shadow stretching across the ground in the golden light. The open doors reveal a cozy interior adorned with handmade decorations, signs, and a nostalgic Coca-Cola crate, evoking the feeling of a bygone era. The weathered textures of timber, warm earthy tones, and gentle play of sunlight and shadow reflect the simple beauty of daily life in this historic riverside town.

Artist Bio

Nature has always fascinated me, and I have felt a deep connection to it for as long as I can remember. I am particularly inspired by the way light transforms landscapes and seascapes - turning familiar scenes into something fleeting, luminous and almost magical. These ever-changing moments captivate me, and through my work I hope to share that sense of wonder with the viewer.

I am a part-time artist based in the Adelaide Hills, painting from my home studio whenever time allows. My art reflects the profound happiness I feel in the act of creation. Working primarily in oils, I strive to capture nature’s harmony and beauty in realistic scenes that still reveal the artist’s hand - brushstrokes, layered textures, and subtle marks that invite closer inspection.
I am drawn to the richness and versatility of oil paint, often using both brushes and palette knives to build depth and character. While grounded in traditional techniques, I remain curious and open to experimentation, continually exploring new approaches, mediums, and inspirations.

Above all, I hope my paintings offer more than a visual experience — I hope they invite the viewer into a moment of stillness, connection, and joy.
