Walk on the Wild Side

We wandered along the beach on a very windy spring afternoon in beautiful Robe with my mum and my sister visiting from overseas, with the wind blowing and beautiful clouds in the sky, just blissful. The scene captures the rugged coastal landscape of Robe, and the untamed spirit of nature, with tall, golden grasses bending and twisting in the force of the wind, creating a sense of movement and energy throughout the painting. The landscape is both peaceful and invigorating, offering a glimpse into the unspoiled wilderness.
Australian beaches never cease to amaze me and I love to capture them in my paintings!

Nature has always fascinated me, and I have felt a deep connection to it for as long as I can remember. I am particularly inspired by the way light transforms landscapes and seascapes - turning familiar scenes into something fleeting, luminous and almost magical. These ever-changing moments captivate me, and through my work I hope to share that sense of wonder with the viewer.

​I am a part-time artist based in the Adelaide Hills, painting from my home studio whenever time allows. My art reflects the profound happiness I feel in the act of creation. Working primarily in oils, I strive to capture nature’s harmony and beauty in realistic scenes that still reveal the artist’s hand - brushstrokes, layered textures, and subtle marks that invite closer inspection.
I am drawn to the richness and versatility of oil paint, often using both brushes and palette knives to build depth and character. While grounded in traditional techniques, I remain curious and open to experimentation, continually exploring new approaches, mediums, and inspirations.

Above all, I hope my paintings offer more than a visual experience — I hope they invite the viewer into a moment of stillness, connection, and joy.
