In the process of creating a painting it requires RESEARCH eg travelling the country painting outdoors in all kinds of weather........,Most artists don't do this they say its all to hard.....but its is absolutely important.. Taking photos EG. cow don't stand still,, kangaroos move,, clouds travel., Whether it is a cityscape or ocean or country you have to get out there.
Then back to the studio to design and compose the information in a painting. My big paintings could take up to 2 to 3 months to produce .(my masterpiece)s that will be around for at least 200 years...hows that's for a guarantee....
The answer to the question is 40 years of experience.
Our country Australia is full of amazing places to visit and paint. I also love the occasional painting trip to Europe where lots of us in Australia come from.
