In impressionist style I capture the magnificent colours of purples blues and jades in a blooming jacaranda tree and sweeping landscape, under a moody sky with storm clouds building. This work is part of a series exploring memory and connection, small canvas paintings I then hand stitch onto a larger stretched canvas. Embroidery elements gently spill over their central panels showing how special moments become memories and extend into unexpected spaces.
