We all have things we do to lift our spirit and point us home. In this new collection of work, I am heading outside into the landscape where birdsong, Eucalypt, flowers, creeks and milky skies provide solace and beauty. The piece carries a deep sense of tranquility. You feel yourself immersed in a light-filled space with birdsong and ocean sound.
I like to pair my artwork with poetry, and the work of Mary Oliver captures another layer of meaning. Her poem "The world I live in" describes it so well: I have refused to live locked in the orderly house of reasons and proofs. The world I live in and believe in is wider than that. "
