My studio is a five-minute walk from the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park. It is here where I go bushwalking most afternoons to unwind after the working day. The landscape; characterised by birdsong and eucalypt, flowers, creeks and milky skies; has provided me with solace and company for over two decades. In this work, I try to capture these personal encounters with nature, a refuge of unfolding beauty and connection.
I enjoy pairing my artwork with poetry, and thought Mary Oliver's "When did it happen" fitted nicely with this piece: "What is your heart doing now? Remembering, Remembering"
