Yellow Throated Honey-eater

Capturing a sense of home and beauty has always been an integral theme in my paintings. The extraordinary variety and flamboyance of Australian birds and plants are often featured in my work, and in this piece, the Yellow throated Honey eater takes centre stage. This painting forms part of the “Byōbu” series explores the idea of separating and enclosing space by patterned folding screens or “wind walls”.
