Riffing on the forms and colours of the Banksia robur plant, otherwise known as the Swamp Banksia.
New growth is covered with rust coloured hairs, flower spikes begin green and pink then move through pale yellows to golden brown. Follicles or seed capsules are eye-like on the woody cones that persist on the sturdy branches. One of my favorite plants.
