The Maroubra walk, to the south, inspired this painting. Some overcast sky, grouchy clouds, and sandstone! I love the trickle of water that turns the stone red, and the variety of hues of soil and clay. For Sydney-siders, the coastal walks are things of beauty, and should be appreciated by all of us.
I used tan cotton and linen canvas and left the edges unpainted because the shade of the surface is beautifully warm and complementary to the piece.
The canvas comes with a D ring screwed into the back and is ready to hang.
