This painting was inspired by another painting of mine called 'Hill Among Clouds', which was more toned down in colour but similar in the prominence given to the clouds. I wanted to explore the theme further using a much brighter, warmer palette, resulting in this playful, cheerful piece. The long landscape composition is intentional, as it gives space to the clouds and allows them movement. Finally, unlike many of my pieces that are varnished in stain, this painting called for a glossy finish, lighting up the gold even further.
I would frame this piece in white, adding a reasonably wide white matting. After that, it's only a matter of hanging the piece up and watching the clouds move.
Although this piece is done on MDF board, it's still thin enough to be framed.
This painting will come flat-packed
