This painting spent months sitting in a drawer. I was pleased with the sky, but wasn't connecting with the foreground which I felt was too dark and too 'abstract'. So in a fit of pique, I grabbed it and some brushes, and added paint without overthinking what I was doing. I just wanted to get the values right, and that seems to have made all the difference. Now there's harmony, and both the top and bottom of the painting work together.
As with many of my paintings, I've allowed the sky to dominate.
Although painted on wood, this is thin enough to frame.
This painting will be shipped flat-packed.
