Done entirely with a palette knife, this painting is of fast-moving clouds in that moment just before the sun goes down. Have you ever seen photos shot with slow shutter screen? When everything sort of blends together? I was aiming for something similar, using harmonious colour combinations. There's a lot of detail, but because of the low saturation, it's not too jarring.
Please look at the photos for more accurate colours. The stretch bars have also been inserted to ensure a taught canvas.
This painting would look amazing in a dark frame with dark matting.
