Artwork Description

Oil on wood

Signed on the back.

An alternative title, in my mind, is 'for the love of prussian blue!' because look at that top right corner! What a spectacular shade in mass tone that is~

Another piece focusing on the dances of clouds, and the complexity of capturing the ever changing hues of a sky as the sun begins to set. There's no such thing as the rule of thirds in this painting- the ground is brought to the fore shallowly, allowing the clouds to take center stage.

This painting was done with a mixture of palette knife and brush, until I was happy that I got the texture and movement I wanted. This painting was created carefully and over a very long period of time.

Please note the rounded edges! This painting can be placed behind matting when framed, but I recommend putting it on top of the matting to get both the whole picture and to show those pretty rounded edges.

Although painted on wood, this is thin enough to frame.
