This is one of a collection of 'colours of nature' series, where I focus on the relationship of certain colours and the way they work together to create a scene. Each shade is thought of carefully; their role in the painting, and whether they're blended in subtly or added with a palette knife for maximum impact.
Most of these pieces are intentionally created as a square, for a square frame. I recommend a dark frame with a charcoal or cream backing. I also recommend that the frame be large, about 8x8 inches, to really offset the colours of the painting.
