In 2019 I had the pleasure of visting Monet's home and garden at Giverny and taking an absolute treasure trove worth of references in all sorts of light conditions. It's only now that I'm beginning to dive into them and paint some of the images, and I'm a little obsessed with these vibrant colours. I'm especially fond of the concentration of detail in one part of the painting, allowing the foreground and background to recede slightly into abstract hues.
This is oil paint on MDF board, which is thin enough to frame.
This painting will be sent flat packed.
