Having spent considerable time struggling with copper etching, I couldn't let go of the failed pieces. There was still something special about them, even if they were too light or too dark. Years later, I pulled them out and painted the subject in acrylic, leaving behind remnants of the etching ink and the impression of the copper plate. I love that these failed etchings have a new life.
This is one of three in this style, each slightly different due to the etch underneath.
The painting will be shipped flat packed.
