The weather finally allowed me to head to the water, at least for a bit, and I've also been spending time looking through inspiring photos and paintings of the ocean so it was easy to choose this subject for a painting before 2021 ended. I did do something slightly different though: I painted the initial layer in acrylics, then went back over the entire thing in oil glazes to give it a living sheen. I suppose that's why this is a more realistic painting compared to my usually more abstract work.
The perfect frame would be white with white matting.
