I consider myself a still life novice, haven't only painted a handful of paintings in this genre. It is however, a genre I really love, even though it can be very complex. In this painting, I wanted to challenge myself with two subjects that require careful consideration: flowers, and glass.
I love the watercolour washes in this painting, and the texture the pencils add. I find the colour harmony to be pleasant to look at.
