In 2019 I had the pleasure of visting Monet's home and garden at Giverny and taking an absolute treasure trove worth of references in all sorts of light conditions. It's only now that I'm beginning to dive into them and paint some of the images, and this particular one stood out because it shows a lily in low light. The colours were more muted, but there was incredible harmony in the limited palette.
This is oil paint on canvas board, which is thin enough to frame.
Painting will be mailed flat-packed.
