Artwork Description

The lady in the artwork is called Sara Storm. I have met Sara over ten years ago and even though I do not know her very well in person, she creates a beautiful image of herself on social media. Sara’s creativity is inspiring. Her outgoing personality, her colorful appearance and her tireless positivity is refreshing and true to herself.
It was a delight to paint Sara and it came very natural to me. It was almost like letting the artwork tell her story. I chose the wood as a surface to enhance the gentleness of her. Mixed media was a must, as Sara is a chameleon of re-invention. Sara has the words What is meant for you will not pass you by tattooed on her arm, which defines her outlook on life.

Sara Storm is a Busselton resident, who is well known in the South-West. She is a musician, a singer, a photographer, a designer, an artist, and a mum. Her outlook on life is inspiring, never fatiguing, and full of color. I am grateful that Sara is happy to share her story on social media as I believe her creativity is an aspiration for many.

The painting comes with a hard wood floating frame and is ready to hang

Artist Bio

Lara Louise Karpeljuk is an almost entirely
self taught award-winning artist who, only in recent years, found the time to explore and develop her skills further. She is forever expanding her expertise as she likes to explore new mediums, textures and colours.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Lara’s artworks range from loose watercolour paintings in an illustrative style over more realistic acrylic paintings to abstract artworks often influenced by Australian flora and fauna.

Her journey as an artist began by creating the most intricate black and white pencil drawings using mainly animals as her subjects. Nowadays Lara still enjoys working with pencils to create pet portraits by commissions.

Lara enjoys opening her studio for visitors. Feel free to contact her, if you are in the Margaret River Region in Western Australia.
