This is a print if my original artwork SARA STORM - A Glance into The Future. Gold ink is added to each print individually to enhance the script as well as accentuate the head scarf.
The print requires framing and will look stunning on a big wall. The wood background adds warmth and softness to any room.
Sara Storm is a musician, photographer, designer and an all round creative person. Her outgoing, happy personality inspired me to paint her. I had to use mixed media as a way to reflect the many aspects of Sara’s life.
The words “What is meant for you, will not pass you by” are tattooed on her arm and it is something Sara tries to live by.
The wood is stained with pink and turquoise ink, Sara’s face was created with pencil after a white stain on the wood. The hair and head scarf have a metallic shimmer.
This painting was my Lester Prize entry for 2020 and was an absolute joy to create and I am sure Sara will inspire me, to paint many more colourful portraits.
